New Design

Yes, this is the newest version of DK2. As you can tell, I’ve kept the lighter design, as opposed to the temporary site which was a darker design. The colors are a new thing too, seeing as the previous version didn’t have colors at all (all the colors on that version were images inside of posts).

So, new feature time;

• I’ve got some nice @font-face effects for you visitors using Firefox, Chrome, or Safari are seeing custom fonts.
• CSS Transitions, for all of you Chrome or Safari visitors, you get to see nice transitions between things on the page (the rest of you just get abrupt hellos).
• I figured out how to alternate posts in the blog page, so that every other post is in a different column.

And now things I don’t have but want;

• More stuff in my sidebar (it’s really empty right now).
• More content (as you can see, I’ve only got three posts).
• Stuff from my portfolio (I’ll work on that).

And things I’m going to do (hopefully soon);

• Get the blog page to show only six or so posts, with a link to the archives page (yet to be made).
• Make said archives page.
• Add a portfolio section to the site using posts, not pages.
• Find one more affiliate to add to the affiliates section.

Yeah, that’s about it right now. I’m hoping that this design will last a while, as long as the dk2-clean site lasted if not longer. I’m going to try to do this by making small changes to the overall design and to elements while it’s live to keep it fresh, and to keep me from saying that I want something new.

This is it, hopefully a long running design that lasts a while, because I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Oh, and I’ll be having a little down time soon, for making wordpress upgrades and such (so don’t be worried if the site is down tonight).
